Jeff Frommer Entrepreneur Founder Startup CEO Jersey City NJ

About Jeff Frommer

As the son of an NYPD detective and music teacher growing up in NJ, Jeff found his entrepreneurial roots early at the age of 12. After graduating from Rutgers in 2007, where he currently sits on the advisory board of the Business School, he spanned roles in sales and finance before landing at Adobe where he spent five years building and leading the Digital Publishing business, growing it from a $3M venture to a thriving $120M business.

He left to co-found MALKA, an award-winning creative studio powering some of the largest brands in the Fortune 500 with a media arm that’s produced feature films and documentaries across Netflix and Showtime and currently produces 20+ shows such as Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ and All the Smoke. He acquired Lunar Sports Group, an NJ-based sports representation agency, in 2019 and built it into MALKA Sports, a leading sports marketing firm representing professional athletes across the NFL and UFC. Having bootstrapped the business without any outside investors, Jeff and his partners grew MALKA to 200 employees with offices in Jersey City and Santa Monica before selling it for $75M in November 2021 to MoneyLion, a public FinTech.

In March of 2022, he was made Chief Content Officer, overseeing all of the firm’s brand and content activities. He left in May 2023 and currently advises various founders and companies in operations, sales, and marketing. His success can be attributed to two mottos he lives by: “Knowledge is power” and “impossible has many options”. If he could do anything with his free time, it is to share what he’s learned with others.
